Nothing could have been more thrilling and exciting for the generation growing up in India in the 1980s than watching Payyoli Tevaraparampil Usha take off like a gazelle. Such was the speed, grace, and charisma of PT Usha, who won five medals in the 1986 Asian Games, four of which were gold.
